Lids.-The lid or cover a of a hot water jug or like container is fitted at the underside with a C or U-shaped spring c engaging within the mouth of the vessel and attached by means of an angle bracket riveted to the centre of the spring at c<1> and to the lid at e<1> and f, the rivet e<1> serving also to attach the handle e. The front edge of the lid carries a hinged flap b counterweighted at b<1>. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 25868/04, [Class 125, Stoppering &c.].
