Joints.-A bedstead comprises in combination separate angle iron side and end rails 7, 8, having angular holes 14 adjacent their ends, common corner members 10 each provided with a grooved or key section 10b to engage a correspondingly shaped key or grooved section 12<a> on the corner pillar 13, an inwardly projecting flange 10<a> carried by each corner member and carrying from its underside a peg 9 adapted to fit the hole 14, the pegs passing through the superposed holes 14 of an end and side rail, when arranged so that the edge of the one rail abuts the face of the co-operating rail adjacent the end thereof, and means, such as the nut 11, for securing the rails to the corner member prior to the attachment of the corner members to the pillar.
