Abstract

319,481. Clarke & Son, Ltd., J. T., and Roberts, G. D. Sept. 17, 1928. Rotary machines. - In a roller hand stamp of the type comprising a printing-roller C and an inking- roller A rotatably mounted in a frame B carried by a handle, the roller A is so mounted that it can have no motion other than a rotary motion, and the roller C or its axle c is mounted in slots in the frame so that the rollers are normally separated but are brought into contact when the device is pressed on the surface to be printed. The roller A may be in a vertical line with the roller C, the slots being also vertical. In a modification, the inking-roller in contact with the printing-roller is also mounted in slots and is movable into contact with an ink-supply roller mounted in fixed bearings.
