Abstract
319,155. Bennett, H. Oct. 23, 1928. Folding tables.-In a folding table of the kind with a top consisting of a series of slats or bars connected edge to edge by webbing 12, and stiffened by pivoted crossbars 14, so that they may be supported by a X-form or other support, and alternatively rolled up into a bundle, is provided with tabs 19 of leather, or other devices, by means of which the table mav be secured, e.g. by turn-button fastenings, to the back of the front seats of a motor-car. The free edge of the table shown is supported on crossed legs 24, adjustably pivoted at 26, and provided at their upper ends with hinged pins 22 adapted to engage with sockets 21. In a modification, instead of the pins 22 sliding bolts are fitted so as to engage with sockets on the sides or doors of the vehicle.
