Abstract

316,453. Horlick, O. P. Aug. 23, 1928. Moving-chamber apparatus for granular materials.-A disc C formed with a series of measuring-chambers C<1> is rotated by a handle and ratchet device to bring each of the chambers in turn over a corresponding hole B<2> in the base B of a casing B<1>, so as to empty its contents into a glass, box, &c., the casing being covered by a plate D having holes D<4> through which the material contained in a receiver M passes to the measuring-chambers. The spindle E of the rotating disc carries a cone H and agitating- blades G, and also a shield which closes the opening B<2> when the device is not in action. The casing B<1> is hinged or removably attached to the pedestal A to facilitate filling the receiver M.
