Abstract
312,281. Fiat Soc. Anon. May 23, 1928, [Convention date]. Hoods.-In hoods of the type having linkages presenting upper hinges each comprised by a pair of arms pivoted on a pin on which a hoop is also pivoted said arms having terminal jaws between which a dowel carried by the end of the hoop is clamped when the hood is raised. the arrangement is such that the same dowel is clamped by the arms themselves when the hood is folded whereby the hoop is rigidly held in both positions. As shown, the hoop sticks 4 hinged to the hinges of the links 2, 3 are provided with dowels 5 which, in the operative position of the hood, are gripped by jaws 2<1>, 3<1> on the arms 2, 3 and in the folded position of the hood are gripped by the arms 2, 3 themselves.
