309,571. Beebe, E. M. April 14, 1928, [Convention date]. Valves, arrangement of. -A manifold for a slush pump suitable for supplying water to the rotary drills in oil &c. wells comprises a chamber 1, connected at the two ends to the delivery sides of two alternative pumps, and at the port 10 to a common delivery pipe. A double valve 36 provided with packing rings 52, 53 is adapted to be moved by the liquid delivered by the working pump into position to close the connection to the non-working pump.
