Reinforced concrete; beams.-The reinforcement described in the parent Specification is modified as regards the stirrups. In Fig. 1, the stirrups d project through both flanges, the lower ends are bent around the bars and again through the lower flange, and project down into the concrete; a washer c may be provided. The upper ends of the stirrups are passed through the top flange and hooked over the edge, or they may be merely bent completely over the flange. In Figs. 2 and 3, the stirrups are passed around the lower flange and bars f, g, the upper ends being hooked in holes in the top flange or web. Additional ordinary stirrups are used with the, form shown in Fig. 3 near the centre of the span. Extra bars h, i, Fig. 6, may be secured to the others by saddles or stirrups.
