Indexing.-In indexing mechanism for grinding machines particularly for gear grinders, the blank a is mountec on a spindle b which is connected tc indexing mechanism preferably o: the type described in Specification 244,647 by means of a pair of gears g, h, which are cut to a high degree of accuracy. The gear g is preferably of larger diameter than the largest gear to be ground. The spindle is carried in a bearing d and is secured to a plate e having an annular bearing surface f. For convenience in mount. ing, the blank may be carried on a removable extension k of the spindle b.
