Production of metal ; rolling. - Relates to the method of making plate and sheet glass in which molten glass flows through a slot in the wall of a tank furnace and is passed between rollers by which it is formed into a continuous ribbon or strip, and the strip is carried by conveying rollers through a leer f. According to the invention, the glass is melted and refined in a pot furnace a of usual construction, and the refined glass is poured into a small tank or regulating-furnace d from which it flows through a slot g to the rolling-apparatus h.
