Abstract

304,377. French, G. F. July 19, 1927. Divided on 304,335. Cartridge belts.-Relates to belts provided with transverse metal stiffening strips fitted into pockets in the belt, for example as described in Specification 261,087. According to the invention, the metal strip d is formed with a single corrugation and a hole at each end as in Fig. 4; or the corrugation is divided into two parts and separated by a, third hole in the centre, as in Fig. 6. The strips d are fastened to the belt a, Fig. 1, by means of rivets or eyelets e, and their ends on the side of the belt remote from the base of the cartridges are fitted with U-shaped metal clips f, which protect the edge of the belt when it is being loaded with cartridges.
