Abstract

303,233. Herman, E. Oct. 21, 1927. Machinery, utilizing inertia to obtain movements in.-In sorting apparatus, reciprocating motion is imparted by the centrifugal force of two fly-weights 10, 12 rotating symmetrically in opposite directions about a shaft 8 arranged on the support of the apparatus which is suspended by pivoted rods 4. Each weight is guided by spring-controlled rods 22 in one of the brackets 9, 11 and they are driven in opposite directions by bevel gear wheels 14, 15 meshing with the gear wheel 13 on a shaft 18, which is driven by a belt 20 and pulley 21. ,
