Cabin lights.-Fastenings for ships' cabin lights comprise two or more screws k mounted on hinge pins l mounted on the fixed frame d the swing of the bolts being limited by co-operating stops m. The handled nut n working on the bolt controls a clip s sliding on the bolt, the clip being mounted on the nut p, q through inter-engaging collars and grooves o, r. The clip e is provided with a recess e which conforms to the shape of the bevel a on the frame of the glass holder which is pressed on to its seating c on the fixed frame when the bolt k is swung into vertical position and the nuts n tightened. The angle of the bevel on the ring is slightly steeper than the angle of the arc about which the bolt swings.
