Abstract

300,600. Gronning, A. Aug. 16, 1927. Strainers comprising grids or gratings.-In a filter or strainer comprising discs having a narrow projection to form a narrow filtering slit between adjacent surfaces, the projection b, Fig. 3, is made zig-zag between the inner and outer edges of the disc and thus separates radial supply and discharge channels f, g on the surface of the plate. The discs are clamped together by a bolt p in a housing hand have projections i, Fig. 2, on one surface which determine the depth of the slits. The direction of flow is indicated by arrows e. The discs may be made from rolled sheets, blanks being stamped or cut and then impressed by means of dies or matrices.
