300,494. Hampton, Ltd., C. & J., and Hampton, C. W. Nov. 14, 1927. Divided on 300,392. Vices; cramps.-In woodworkers' vices of the kind having large area jaws 11, 14 and in which the screw movable jaw 11 is provided with two parallel cylindrical slides 15, the vice is secured to the edge of a bench by a clamping screw 18 working in a bracket 17 depending from the clamping base 16. The vice may be further attached by screws in the clamping base. A cramping shoe 23 may be attached to the slides 15 to grip articles against a fixed abutment on the bench. A recess in the fixed jaw base may accommodate a cramping bar as described in Specification 300,392.
