Supplying and controlling consuming devices.- The head and rear lights a, b of a cycle &c. are supplied respectively from the whole and part of an alternator winding c. The reactance of the alternator is large compared with its resistance. A switch d, f may be arranged to connect the lamps to a battery e if desired. According to the Provisional Specification, the switch is arranged so that the tail lamp cannot be in use without the head lamp. Specification 11224/15 is referred to.
