Abstract

293,952. Hotchkin, P. M. June 7, 1927. Holders.-Electric conduits 5 of the kind described in Specification 288,053 are provided with a swivel joint comprising a pair of telescopic box-like housings A, B, which are inserted into said conduits and secured therein by screws 18, pivotally connected by a pin 14. Each housing consists of a base plate 15, one edge of which is provided with an upstanding wall 16, forming a continuation of the wall 7 of the adjacent conduit, and the opposite edge with a two-part wall 17, 20, the segmental part 20 being in the form of an arc struck from the centre of the pin 14. The housing is completed by a cover plate 21 shaped to conform to the base plate 15, which is also inserted into the conduit and secured in place upon the upper edge of the walls 16, 17 and 20 by a nut 22 screwed on to an extension of the pin 14.
