Channels in springs.-In a leaf spring, each leaf except the top and bottom ones, is formed with two longitudinal slits 10 which communicate at the ends with transverse openings 11. A pair of oils cups 12 mounted on the top leaf supply lubricant to the vertically-aligned openings 11 at the inner ends of the slits.
