Television.-The method of automatically controlling the overall attenuation of a. combined wired and wireless transmission channel so as to avoid regeneration by eliminating fluctuations of signal strength due to fading, as described in the parent Specification, is applied to a picture transmission or television system, the usual synchronizing frequency for the transmitting and receiving apparatus being also utilized as a means of automatic zone control.
