Abstract

290,502. Auster, Ltd., Lane, P., and Lait, A. E. Oct. 6, 1927. Windscreens; anti-dazzle screens. - In road vehicles a pair of panels is provided at the upper part of the windscreen which panels are inclined, or adapted to be inclined, to provide a ventilation opening between them so that the air passing between them is caused to take an upward direction. One or both panels may be hinged and adjustable angularly. As shown two narrow panels 3, 4 are hinged to the standards 2 of the windscreen 1, the panel 3 being pivoted at its lower edge and the panel 4 at its upper edge. The panels 3, 4 are mounted in metal frames 5, 6 respectively, and are angularly adjustable. Panel 3 is provided with spring pressed balls which take into apertures 12 in side brackets 10 and panel 4 may be adjusted by screw and link arrangement. The panel 4 may be constructed as an anti-dazzle visor. Specification 292,033 is referred to.
