Feedwater, heating.-Steam-heated tubes 4 are mounted in a casing 1 through which feedwater passes, there being a conduit 5 opening to the casing at each end 17, 18, whereby water admitted to the heating chamber through a nozzle 13 sets up through the conduit 5 a return flow of lesser heated water from the discharge end of the casing; the hottest, water passes out at 7 to the boiler.
