288,897. Saunders, T. M. Sept. 12, 1927. Fluid-actuated valves. -In flushing-valves for cisterns, the valve, disc 1. seating on the boundary 4 of the outlet connection 10 and lifted by a manually operated vertically guided valve rod 2, is housed in a casing comprising a wall 8 and cover 9, the wall being formed with lateral slots 11 through which the water passing impinges on the undersurface of the lifted discs 1 to keep the valve open until the cistern is discharged, the lower boundaries of the slots 11 being located just above the level of the seating 4 and the upper boundaries below the under face of the valve disc when this is in the lifted position.
