Abstract
287,393. Dunker, L. H. A. Aug. 27, 1927. Continuous paving and flooring; reinforced concrete. - Reinforcement for the surfaces of roads or floors, which is composed of zig-zag metal strips a such as described in Specification 257,057, is supported on a number of metal chairs or sleepers interposed between the mesh and the concrete foundation to prevent the mesh being forced into the foundation. In the form shown, stamped metal plates forming chairs are arranged at the meeting angles of the zig-zag strips. The upstanding parts b<1>, b<2> of the plates bridge the angles of the strips and the parts b<1> also support the fastening pins c of the mesh. In place of the chairs, transverse or longitudinal sleepers formed of plain metal strips may be arranged to support the angles of the mesh.
