Abstract

286,956. Sobek, E. July 15, 1927. Charging.-A kiln charging-hopper is extended at one side to form a slide 9 for the charge, this slide co-operating with a bulging portion 10 cn the opposite side of the hopper to effect the introduction of the charge into the kiln in layers. The hopper is supported by lugs 7 on girders 8 and is bolted, at its lower end, to a downwardly flared shoot 1 which is formed with lugs 2 engaging over girders 3. A hinged cover 12 may be provided. Specifications 11588/05 and 215,754 are referred to.
