Abstract
284,870. Scholes, G. H., Pearce, F. J., and Scholes & Co., Ltd., G., R. Feb. 23, 1927. Junction boxes; ceiling roses.-A junction box &c. having lateral apertures 10 in the base 7 or cover 8 for the passage of leads 15, 17 is provided with sliding closures 13 mounted in slots 12 in the casing and movable to vary the size of the apertures to correspond with the size of the leads. The cover 8 is attached by means of a central screwed socket 20 and and a tubular spigot, the upper end of which is closed by a thin disc that can be broken away when the fitting is employed as a ceiling rose. Alternatively a separate removable disc may be used.
