Enamelling. - furnaces; charges, conveying and cooling.-A furnace for lacquer enamelling is fitted with an endless convever c both runs of which are located within the heating chamber and separate conveyers b, g are provided for carrying the charge from the coating machine a up to the furnace and through a cooling chamber h respectively. The front part e of the heating chamber is fitted with burners f for igniting the solvent of the lacquer, while the cooling is effected by compressed air supplied, in countercurrent to the travel of the goods, through nozzles k by a fan i. Part of the air heated by the outgoing goods passes through the heating chamber to the flue o and part is withdrawn by a second fan l and delivered through a pipe m to the combustion chamber e; any excess air escapes through an outlet pipe n.
