Abstract
282,095. Manos, E. Dec. 11, 1926, [Convention date]. Alloys.-An alloy for addition to copper alloys, for example to brass or bronze waste, consists of manganese, aluminium, magnesium, silicon, nickel, and iron, including in some cases a small proportion of the constituents of the waste alloy to be treated. Up to 10 per cent. of this alloy may be added to the copper alloy. An example of a final alloy so obtained is made from 90 per cent. of brass waste, 7 per cent. of manganese, 1 per cent. of aluminium, 0.01 per cent. of magnesium, 0.01 per cent. of silicon, 1.4 per cent. of nickel, and 0.58 per cent. of iron.
