Abstract

Handles. - Relates to handling devices of vulcanite, wood, or other heat-insulating material adapted to be attached by means of spring clips to the handles of cooking vessels or their lids. Fig. 1 shows a plate P of any suitable heat-insulating material provided with a metal clip C by which it can be attached to the handle h of a cooking vessel lid. Fig. 3 shows the form of clip C employed to grip a curved handle, and Fig. 5 shows a similar form in which the plate P has depending sides. Fig. 7 shows a pair of plates P attached to the sides of a clip C. Fig. 9 shows a heat-insulator P having a metal spring reinforcement i enabling it to grip the handle. Figs. 11, 13 show clips with slotted sides adapted to engage over the knob of a, saucepan lid. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 4993/10.
