Abstract

276,796. Baucher, F. W. July 20, 1926. Surface markings.-A metal block for marking a road or paving, comprises a flat top 1 with a hollow depending outwardly-flared shank or stem 2 which is open at the base and pierced with one or more apertures 8. The stem may have a projecting flange 3 at the lower end, and the table or top may overhang the stem. The holes 8 interlock with the material of the road bed. Strengthening-webs 4 also may be provided. Ribs or grooves 5 may be provided to prevent slipping. The blocks may be straight or curved so that they can be used in combination to build up signs and letters; and may be of any shape as seen in plan.
