Rotary cylindrical valves. - A rotary cylindrical valve for controlling the flow of fluids under high temperatures and pressures is provided with a cylindrical liner of slightly deformable material having transverse bores fitted with metallic bushes 9, 10. The liner 3 which may comprise superposed rings of asbestos and graphite has a longitudinal rib adapted to engage a corresponding groove in the. casing and is compressed by a screwed plug 4 so as to bear tightly against the bonnet 5 and the valve member 2.
