Abstract

Combined open fireplaces and cooking- stoves; boilers, arrangement of; flue-dust, removing. - In a combination stove, of the kind in which the gases pass up a flue A in front of a boiler B to the flues around an oven D, the flue A and the front of the boiler B are at a substantial incline, in order to cause the flames to play more effectivelv on the boiler, and baffles G around which the gases pass to the flue F. are arranged above the oven. In the construction shown, a damper I is provided at the top of the plate H which forms the front of the flue A, and a door K in the damper allows access to the flue A for cleaning. Doors J at each side of the oven top flue allow the oven top and side flues to be cleaned. The baffles G, Fig. 3, extend at an angle across the tops of the oven side flues E, and, with their base portions G<1>, are formed from bent sheet steel.
