Rotary machines.-An apparatus for printing headings on stationery, which may be also adapted as a cutter for trimming photographs &c., comprises a box fitted with a drawer 6, the bottom 1 and top 5 of the box being extended beyond the side 3 to form a guide for a slide 8 to which is adjustably connected by a nut 13 and screw 12 an arm 9 fitted with a screw-bolt 16 on which can be mounted a printing-roller 14, Fig. 4, or a roller fitted with a circular cutter 29, Fig. 8. The slide 8 is restrained by ledges 7, and to the roller 14 detachable rubber type 15 is secured. As the slide 8 is traversed, the roller 14 is rotated by contact of a toothed wheel 19 with a strip of felt, rubber, or the like 20. A detachable inking-roller 23 is mounted in a slot 21 in the arm 9, and this may coact with a horizontal pad placed above it and supported by upright brackets on the box.
