Vices.-In vices in which the stationary jaw may swivel, to grip tapered &c. work, the swivelling jaw c has a depending semi-circular pivot c' working in the curved slotted end of the base a, a cone shaped clearance f being provided. Fig. 5 shows a vice with two swivelling jaws a and l working with the jaw b and jaw k respectively. The jaws k and l are formed with notches to hold profiled work.
