Abstract
266,969. Keyworth, G. W., and Keyworth, G. June 25, 1926. Double-acting bucket pumps; bucket plunger pumps. - A spray-producing pump comprises a barrel D with an inlet valve E at one end adapted to be connected to a hose pipe. The bucket piston I is carried bv a hollow plunger B on which is mounted an air vessel A communicating by ports F with the interior of the plunger. During the downstroke of the piston, liquid passes round the edge of the cup leather I and part of it fills the space between the plunger B and the barrel, while the remainder passes through ports H<1> into the plunger and thence to the delivery nozzle. During the upstroke, the liquid above the piston passes through the ports H<1> to the delivery nozzle.
