Acrating. - Screened sewage passes from a receiver b through tubes c each provided with a Venturi throat g, an air inlet h on the delivery side of the throat, and an enlarged part i. The air drawn in bv the falling liquid separates in a bell portion d<1> of a tank d and is led to the aeration tanks. From the tank d the sewage passes to the aerating tanks through similar pipes e and a tank f. Any number of tanks d, f may be provided one beneath another.
