Corks.-A bottle closure consists of a capsule, of tin-plate, aluminium, or other metal, having at a distance from its periphery and arranged vertically to the axis of the capsule, a series of corrugations which are interlocked with a cork by concentrically applied pressure, the upper part of the cork being of cylindrical form to adapt it to fit closely into the interior of the capsule. The tapered portion of the cork may be of barrel, vase or fluted shape.
