Fan apparatus. - In hair-drying and like apparatus, a fan and its radially adjustable or other casing 2 are arranged at each end of the spindle of the driving- motor, and the exit pipes 4 from the fan casing 2 are connected to a single discharge conduit 3, the carrier table 11 for the apparatus being mounted on a portable stand 12, or an handle, or the like. Removable electric heating-units are arranged in a chamber preferably at the junction of the pipes 4 and the conduit, 3, and may be controlled singly or in groups by switches. The conduit 3 may be a flexible, or foldable, or hinged, and terminates in a nozzle or splayed-out portion 5. A speed-regulating device is provided.
