Abstract

265,502. Price, W. H. Oct. 18, 1926. Skein holders and swifts.-The wire yarn bearing members 4, Fig. I. are slidable in hollow guideways formed lengthwise in the arms 3 and have combined spring and frictional gripping engagement therewith. If desired, a small leaf spring 7, Fig. VI., may be provided. In a modification, flat arms 3, Fig. II., are grooved at 5 on either the inner or outer face and the members 4 are held therein by spring action. In a further modification, the members 4 having yarn-carrying portions 4b are formed with spring extensions 4<d>, Fig. IV., to grip the tubular arms 3. In each form the members 4 may be completely detached from the arms 3.
