Feedwater, supplying. - In float-controlled feed apparatus comprisng a water collecting or float chamber a having water inlet and outlet pipes b, c and a steam connection d adapted to be opened by the float to permit water to flow into the boiler, the three float chamber connections are each fitted with non-return valve, and the valve in the steam pipe is directly lifted by a rod f raised by the upward travel of a loose float g therealong. The weight of the rod when lifted is overcome bv means of the rolling action of a ball i along a track upon a counterweighting lever h.
