Abstract

263,386. Henneveld, J. March 16, 1926, [Convention date]. Tripod mounts for machine guns. - For antiaircraft gunnery, a gun 7 is mounted on a manhigh tripod stand, the legs 3 of which are hinged to spade plates 4 engaging the ground and to a central post 1 having a ground plate 2. The upper end of the post 1 has a universal joint 5, 6 for aiming the gun, and the gunner is supported under the arms by a strap 10 attached to a rod 9 extending from the gun.
