Locking nuts.-A helical spring washer c for locking nuts has each half of each convolution bent out of the line of the helix, the length of the arcuate curve thus formed being substantially equal to half the periphery of one convolution of the helix. The bends of adjacent convolutions may be in opposite directions and the ends of the spring may be turned away from their bearing surfaces.
