Abstract

262,595. Ayre, J. D., and Ransome Machinery Co. (1920), Ltd. Dec. 8, 1925. Rotary mixers.-A concrete &c. mixed of the rotary, tilting drum type is provided with independent stirrers which may rotate in the same direction as the drum but at a different speed, or in the opposite direction. The drum 1, supported on a yoke 5, rotates on a central bearing 6 through which passes a shaft 7 on which are mounted arms 9 fitted with mixing blades 10. The shaft is rotated through bevel and chain gears 11 - - 14 from the shaft 15 which rotates the drum. The arms are curved and of different lengths.
