Abstract
260,006. Selby Shoe Co., (Assignees of Fenton, J.). Oct. 19, 1925, [Convention date]. Insoles.-A heel support to correct the strains imposed on the feet and legs by wearing a high heeled shoe, comprises an insole member 15 provided with a pair of laterally spaced non-yielding abutments 10, 11, Fig. 5, longitudinally disposed at the sides of the heel directly underlying the heel bone B, Fig. 4. The outer abutment engages the outer rear portion of the heel, at one side, and the inner abutment, the inner front portion of the heel. In the manufacture of the shoe, a wooden last, Fig. 3, is cut away at the sides and a piece of leather 15 is tacked thereon and depressed at the sides into recesses in the last. Fillers 18, 19 of leather &c. are added and an insole over all. If desired, the device may be made as a separate article or insert.
