Lamp--failure alarm and warning devices.-An apparatus for indicating failure of a lighting circuit for example that supplying a rear lamp, comprises a holder 3 for a lamp, capable of being used as a spare, mounted on an insulating base 1 which carries also a coil 8 in the lamp circuit, and a spring-mounted armature 11 at one end of a core 6 within the coil, and a bracket 13 carrying a contact slider with which the armature 11 engages when the circuit fails. Four terminals. 14 - - 17 on the back of the base are connected as shown in Fig. 5, in which 34 indicates a rear lamp, and 21, 23 the spare-lamp holder terminals.
