Suit cases.-The attachÚ, suit or like case of the parent Specification is provided with means, in addition to the usual fastening means, for automatically temporarily securing the lid as it is closed. The means preferably comprises a pair of metal plates 10, one of which is secured within the flange-receiving slot 8 and the other is carried upon the flange 7, the plates being provided with interengaging projections 11 and recesses or apertures' 12.
