Abstract
256,266. Loewe, S. Aug. 1, 1925, [Convention date]. Atmospherics and undesired signals, eliminating; thermionic amplifiers.-A receiving-arrangement comprises two receiving-sets, one E1 tuned to the frequency to be received and the other E2 tuned to a different frequency, and the disturbances received by one set are neutralized by means of the disturbances received in the other, so that the combined action produces signals free from disturbances. Capacity plates F1, F2 are placed across resistance or choke D1 in the output of receiver E1 and plates F3, F4 connected with receiver E2, and an adjustable plate F6 co-operating with plates F1, F2 is connected to the grid of an amplifying-valve V and an adjustable plate F7 co-operating with plates F3, F4 is connected to the filament of the valve. Alternatively each of the adjustable plates is connected to the grid of separate valves and each anode circuit contains a winding of a transformer, which has a third winding connected to an indicating-device.
