Abstract

256,095. Steuler, G. Nov. 3, 1925. Regenerators and hot blast stoves, refractory fillings for.-The filling consists of helices a of refractory material which are packed at random into the heating space of the stove &c. The rod from which a helix is formed is of circular crosssection and has a diameter of 6 to 7 centimetres. The helix is wound to leave an open core b, and the turns are spaced sufficiently to allow free passage of the gases. The surface of the helix may be corrugated.
