Abstract

254,215. Dunkley, W. H. Jan. 29,1926. Springs, arrangement of; equalizing load on springs and wheels.-The frame of a perambulator or like vehicle is supported at each side by a pair of strip-metal levers 4, 5 pivoted intermediately of their ends at 6, 7 to the frame 1 and bowed or gradually curved in the plane of the strip-metal so that their ends extend down. wardly, one end of each lever being associated with a wheel and the other end connected to a coil spring. The inner ends of the levers 4, 5 may overlap as shown, and the coil spring 8 associated with the inner end of one lever may be connected to the other lever at 9 adjacent its pivot. In a modification, the inner ends of the levers do not overlap and are interconnected by a coil spring or are connected to the frame by independent coil springs.
