Pneumatic springs.-In apparatus of the kind comprising an inflated casing formed from two cup-shaped elastic members a having pistons bearing upon its upper and lower sides, the bearing surfaces of the pistons k, p are smaller in area than the free surfaces of the elastic members. The edges of the elastic members a are separated by a grooved ring c and are clamped between the edges of upper and lower covers e which also form guides for the pistons k, p connected respectively to the frame i and axle o. Solid elastic blocks u, v contact with one another in the event of deflation. The ends of the pistons may be covered by lubricating material s. Wooden piston guides n, filling pieces q, and rubber insertions t may be provided.
