Measuring-tapes. - In a measuring device for use in the game of bowls of the type comprising a cup 1 adapted to fit over the " jack " and carrying a rotatable head 2 in which is mounted a tape drum 6 with a tape measure 7, a spring- pressed plurger 9 is provided having a gapped end 11 which locks the tape against a jaw 13 in its extended position.
